Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w-50 or Valvoline Oil?

Well, since (I've concluded) 20w-50 seems O.K. for the Savage, what do you all think of the 20w-50 offered by Mobil 1? Of course, it is all synthetic, and has no viscosity index improvers (that's polymers in normal person speak).

On the same token, any thoughts on the Valvoline 20w-50 Motorcycle Oil? Not synthetic, but likely much less expensive, and even over a long, long period of time (I plan to keep the '03 for a long time), I most likely wouldn't see any big difference in protection.
